On the way to the front porch, an azalea garden nestles beside the deck, with a lovely three-tiered fountain in its midst.
We provide the place, and you and your event planner do the rest. This gives you the versatility do choose your own caterer, party rental supplier, entertainment and so on.
There is ample parking on the grounds - easily holding fifty cars, and in the public lot at the park across the street is available for overflow.
We will be happy to give you the names of some of our area's favorite caterers and party rental shops.
We have hosted a Christening reception, a Christmas wedding, a lawn wedding and reception, several weddings in the Gazebo, a barbeque rehersal dinner on the lawn (the bride and her attendants were guests at the house), another rehersal dinner on the deck (the groom's family were guests at the house); a welcoming cocktail party in August for an area Fox Hunt group of about 90 people on the deck and lawn; and a Hunt Breakfast for 80 on the deck and in the house in December, and one summer's eve, an ice cream social for about 40 on the deck. All the guests remark about what a wonderful place this is, and all the hosts tell me how much they love this house.
We can't help but agree; it's a wonderful place to gather with friends and family.
